Safety Instructions

  • Read these safety instructions carefully before using the appliance and keep them for future reference.
  • The manufacturer disclaims liability for any consequences resulting from non-compliance with these instructions, improper use, or incorrect control settings.
  • Children aged 0-3 years should be kept away from the appliance. Children aged 3-8 years should be supervised continuously if near the appliance. Children aged 8 and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, may use the appliance only under supervision and after receiving instructions on safe use and understanding the associated hazards. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision.

Permitted Use:

  • CAUTION: This appliance is not designed to be operated by external switching devices (e.g., timers) or separate remote control systems.
  • This appliance is intended for household and similar applications, such as hotels and offices.
  • This appliance is not for professional use.
  • Always turn off the air conditioner using the remote control first. Do not use the power supply circuit breaker or pull the plug to turn it off. Disconnect the air conditioner from the power supply if it will be unused for a long period or during a thunder/lightning storm.
  • Never obstruct the air outlet to avoid injury. Keep ventilation openings clear.
  • Do not place other electrical products or household items under the indoor or outdoor units. Condensation dripping from the unit could wet and damage them or cause malfunction.

Installation:

  • The appliance requires two or more persons for handling and installation to avoid injury. Use protective gloves during unpacking and installation to prevent cuts.
  • Installation, including electrical connections and repairs, must be performed by a qualified technician in accordance with national wiring rules. Do not repair or replace any part of the appliance unless explicitly stated in the user manual. Keep children away from the installation site.
  • After unpacking, ensure the appliance is not damaged during transport. In case of problems, contact the dealer or nearest After-sales Service.
  • Once installed, packaging waste (plastic, styrofoam, etc.) must be kept out of reach of children to prevent suffocation.
  • Disconnect the appliance from all remote power supplies before any installation operation to prevent electric shock.
  • During installation, ensure the power cable is not damaged by the appliance casing to prevent fire and electric shock. Only activate the appliance after installation is complete.
  • If moving or relocating the air conditioner, consult experienced service technicians for disconnection and reinstallation.
  • The appliance must not be installed in the laundry room.
  • The appliance must be installed, operated, and stored in a room with a floor area larger than 10 m². The indoor unit should be mounted at least 2.5 m above floor or grade level.
  • Pipe-work installation must be kept in a room with a floor area larger than 10 m² in compliance with national gas regulations.

Electrical Warnings:

  • The power supply must match the appliance's rated voltage and special circuitry. The power cord diameter must comply with requirements.
  • A multi-pole switch must be installed in the fixed wiring according to wiring rules, and the appliance must be earthed in conformity with national electrical safety standards.
  • An all-pole disconnection switch with a contact separation of at least 3 mm in all poles should be connected in fixed wiring according to national wiring rules, and the appliance must be earthed in conformity with national electrical safety standards.
  • Do not use extension leads, multiple sockets, or adapters. Electrical components must not be accessible to the user after installation.
  • Do not use the appliance when wet or barefoot. Do not operate if the power cable or plug is damaged, if it is not working properly, or if it has been damaged or dropped.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid electric shock.
  • A residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA must be incorporated into fixed wiring according to national law.
  • The refrigerant circuit temperature will be high; keep the interconnection cable away from the copper tube.
  • Ensure safe grounding and a grounding wire connected to the building's special grounding system, installed by professionals. The appliance must be fitted with an electrical leakage protection switch and an auxiliary circuit breaker with sufficient capacity. The circuit breaker must also have magnetic and thermal tripping functions for short-circuit and overload protection.

Required capacity of circuit breaker:

  • 9K & 12K: 16A
  • 18K: 20A
  • 24K: 25A
  • For power cord and cable connections between indoor and outdoor units, refer to the wiring diagram on the appliance.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

  • WARNING: Ensure the appliance is switched off and disconnected from the power supply before any maintenance. Never use steam cleaning equipment to avoid electric shock.

Disposal of Packaging Materials:

  • Packaging material is 100% recyclable (marked with the recycle symbol). Dispose of packaging parts responsibly and in full compliance with local waste disposal regulations.

Disposal of Household Appliances:

  • This appliance is made of recyclable or reusable materials. Dispose of it according to local waste disposal regulations. For more information on treatment, recovery, and recycling of household electrical appliances, contact your local authority, waste collection service, or the store where you purchased it.
  • This appliance is marked in compliance with European Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE). Proper disposal helps prevent negative consequences for the environment and human health.
  • The symbol on the product or accompanying documentation indicates it should not be treated as domestic waste but taken to an appropriate collection center for recycling electrical and electronic equipment.

Declarations of Conformity:

  • This product contains Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases covered by the Kyoto Protocol. The refrigerant gas (R410a, GWP 2088) is in a hermetically sealed system. The maximum refrigerant charge amount is 2.5 kg. Refer to the rating label for detailed information.

Product Description

Indoor Unit:

  • Front panel: The main visible cover of the indoor unit.
  • Air Intake: Where air is drawn into the unit for conditioning.
  • Display Panel: Shows operational status and settings.
  • Emergency Panel: For manual control in case of remote control absence or malfunction.
  • Air Outlet: Where conditioned air is discharged.
  • Vertical Adjustment Louver: Controls the vertical direction of airflow.
  • Horizontal Adjustment Louver: Controls the horizontal direction of airflow.
  • Air Filter: Filters dust and particles from the air.
  • Remote Controller: Used to operate the air conditioner wirelessly.

Outdoor Unit:

  • Air Intake: Where air is drawn into the outdoor unit.
  • Pipes and Power Connection Cord: Connects the indoor and outdoor units for refrigerant and electrical power.
  • Drain Hose: Drains condensed water from the unit during cooling or dry operation.
  • Air Outlet: Where air is discharged from the outdoor unit.

User Interface

The indoor unit features a display panel with several indicators:

  • Temperature indicator (1): Displays the set temperature. Shows "FC" as a reminder to clean the filter.
  • Running indicator (2): Lights up during operation. Flashes during outdoor unit defrosting.
  • Smart indicator (3): Lights up when Smart mode is active. Goes off when Smart mode ends.
  • Filter monitor indicator (4): Flashes when the filter needs cleaning (after 720 hours of usage). To stop flashing after cleaning, press the filter reset button behind the front panel.
  • Humidity indicator (5): Lights up when showing humidity level. Goes off when showing temperature.
  • Timer indicator (6): Lights up during the set time. Goes off when timer operation ends.

Remote Controller

Inserting Batteries:

  1. Gently press down on the battery cover and push in the direction of the arrow to remove it.
  2. Insert two AAA (1.5V) batteries, ensuring correct "+" and "-" polarity.
  3. Close the battery cover.

Using the Remote Controller:

  • Point the remote control at the indoor unit's receiver for signal transmission.
  • The symbol flashes for 1 second when a message is sent. The appliance emits a short beep upon receiving a signal.
  • The remote control operates the air conditioner from a distance of up to 7m.
  • Each time batteries are replaced, the remote control defaults to Heat Pump mode. A Heat Pump AC remote controller can control cool-only AC models.

Function Description of Buttons (P1-04 / J1-39):

  1. ON/OFF Button: Starts or stops the appliance.
  2. MODE Button: Selects operation mode: Cooling, Heating, Fan, or Dry (Dehumidifying).
  3. FAN Button: Selects fan speed: Auto, High, Medium, or Low. 4-5. TEMPERATURE Buttons: Adjusts room temperature. Also used to set time in timer mode.
  4. SMART Button: Activates or deactivates Smart operation.
  5. SWING Button: Stops or starts horizontal adjustment louver swinging and sets the desired up/down airflow direction.
  6. SLEEP Button: Activates or deactivates Sleep Mode.
  7. AROUND U Button: Activates or deactivates the Around U function. 10-11. HUMIDITY Buttons: Sets desired humidity level (available only under 6th SENSE mode).
  8. TIMER ON/CLOCK Button: Sets current time. Activates or deactivates timer on operation.
  9. TIMER OFF Button: Activates or deactivates timer off operation.
  10. JET Button: Starts or stops fast cooling or heating.
  11. DIM Button: Turns on or off the indoor unit's display light.
  12. POWER SAVE Button: Starts or stops power save operation.
  13. TIMER Button: Sets the time for turning the appliance on or off.
  14. SUPER SILENT Button: Starts or stops super silent operation for a low noise environment.

Symbols on RC Display:

  • Cooling indicator, Dry indicator, Fan only indicator, Heating indicator, Jet indicator, Smart indicator, Sleep indicator, Around U indicator, Auto fan speed, High fan speed, Medium fan speed, Low fan speed, Super silent indicator, Power save indicator.
  • Display set temperature (8.8), Display set timer (ON/OFF 88h), Display current time, Signal transmission.

Activating RC by pressing UNLOCK button:

  • Press the UNLOCK button to light up the backlight and activate function buttons. Press again to lock the remote controller. If no operation occurs for 10 seconds, the remote controller locks automatically.

Protection

Operating Conditions: The protective device may trip and stop the appliance under these conditions:

  • Heating: Outdoor air temperature over 24°C or below -7°C. Room temperature over 27°C.
  • Cooling: Outdoor air temperature over 43°C. Room temperature below 21°C.
  • Dehumidifying: Room temperature below 18°C.
  • If the air conditioner runs in COOLING or DRY mode with an open door or window for a long time when relative humidity is above 80%, dew may drip from the outlet.

Features of Protection Device:

  • Wait at least 3 minutes before restarting the unit after operation stops or mode changes.
  • After connecting to power supply and turning on the appliance, a delay of 20 seconds may occur before operation starts.
  • If all operation has stopped, press the ON/OFF button to restart. Reset the timer if it was cancelled.

Features of COOLING Mode (Anti-freezing):

  • If the indoor heat exchanger temperature drops to 0°C or below, the compressor stops to protect the appliance.

Features of HEATING Mode:

  • Preheating: To prevent cool air from blowing, the indoor unit preheats for 2-5 minutes at the start of HEATING operation. The indoor fan does not work during preheating.
  • Defrosting: In HEATING operation, the appliance automatically defrosts to increase efficiency. This usually takes 6-10 minutes. During defrosting, the fan stops, and the running indicator flashes. After defrosting, it returns to HEATING mode automatically.

Maintenance

Cleaning Front Panel of Indoor Unit:

  1. Disconnect from power supply: Turn off the appliance before disconnecting.
  2. Remove front panel: Open the front panel as shown by the arrow (Fig. A). Pull the slots at the side of the front panel with force to remove it (Fig. B).
  3. Clean front panel: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. For heavy dirt, use lukewarm water (below 40°C) and let it dry.
  4. Refit and close front panel: Push the front panel downward to refit and close it.
  • Note: Do not use gasoline or polishing powder. Do not sprinkle water on the indoor unit (risk of electric shock).

Cleaning Air Filter:

  • Clean the air filter after approximately 200 hours of use. In dusty environments, clean every two weeks.
  1. Disconnect from power supply: Turn off the appliance before disconnecting.
  2. Take out air filter (Fig. C): Open the front panel, gently press the filter handle, and slide out the filter.
  3. Clean air filter (Fig. D): For heavy dirt, clean with a solution of lukewarm water and neutral detergent. Let it dry after cleaning.
  4. Refit filter: Refit the filter, press the filter reset button (Fig. E) on the right side using a cylinder pin, and close the front panel.
  • Note: Do not touch the indoor unit's fins after removing the filter to avoid injury. Do not attempt to clean the inside of the air conditioner yourself. Do not clean the filter in a washing machine.

Emergency Operation:

  • In emergency situations or if the remote control is missing, the unit can be controlled by pressing the on/off switch on the indoor unit.
  • Turn on: When off, pressing this button starts the unit in Smart mode.
  • Turn off: When on, pressing this button stops the unit.
  • Note: Do not press this button for a long time, as it may cause malfunction.

Auto-Restart Function:

  • To set auto-restart: Switch on power supply, press and hold the ON/OFF button on the indoor unit for over 5 seconds. A buzz sound confirms activation.
  • To cancel auto-restart: Press and hold the ON/OFF button on the indoor unit for over 5 seconds. A buzz sound confirms cancellation, and the air conditioner enters standby mode.

Disposal of Batteries:

  • Separate batteries from other waste types and recycle them through local, free battery return systems to protect natural resources and promote material reuse.

Installation Instruction

Installation Diagram:

  • Distance from wall: Should be over 50mm.
  • Distance from ceiling: Should be over 200mm.
  • Distance from floor: Should be over 2500mm.
  • Air intake distance from the wall (indoor/outdoor): Should be over 250mm.
  • Air outlet distance from the wall: Should be over 500mm.
  • Note: The figure is a simple representation and may not match the actual product appearance. Installation must be performed by authorized service personnel according to national wiring standards.
  • When installing the interconnection cord, ensure the wire colors and terminal numbers of the outdoor unit match those of the indoor unit.
