Important Technical Specifications

The manual does not explicitly list technical specifications like power consumption, voltage, or dimensions. However, it implies certain operational parameters:

  • Water Tank Capacity: The maximum water level in the tank is crucial for operation.
  • Coffee Powder Capacity: The portafilter is designed to hold a specific amount of coffee powder for single and double shots (e.g., 100 grams for a full pitcher of milk, suggesting a certain capacity for coffee grounds).
  • Brewing Temperature: The machine preheats to an optimal temperature for brewing espresso and steaming milk.
  • Pressure: The machine operates with sufficient pressure to extract espresso and create steam for frothing.

Troubleshooting: The manual includes a troubleshooting section with common symptoms, causes, and solutions, such as:

  • Water leaks from the bottom: Caused by a damaged water pipe or loose outer side of the filter. Solutions include contacting Intertek for replacement or tightening the filter.
  • Acid taste in espresso: Caused by not cleaning properly after use. Solution: Clean the machine several times before use.
  • Coffee powder stored in a hot or wet place: Causes the coffee powder to clump. Solution: Use fresh coffee powder, sealed and stored in a cool and dry place.
  • Espresso machine not working: Caused by the espresso machine not plugged in or malfunctioning. Solutions: Plug in the power cord or contact Intertek.
  • Milk cannot be frothed: Caused by the indicator not being on, container being too big or hot, or using skimmed milk or plant milk. Solutions: Turn on the knob, use a professional milk frothing pitcher, or use whole milk (butterfat >3%).
  • Single-cup indicator and double-cup indicator flash quickly: Caused by the knob not being turned off or the knob not reset after cooling down. Solutions: Turn the knob off or reset the knob.
  • Steam indicator flash quickly: Caused by the boiler temperature being too high. Solution: Turn the knob to the " " position and start cooling operation.
  • Single-cup indicator, double-cup indicator, and steam indicator flash quickly: Caused by the machine being on but the knob not turned off. Solution: Turn the knob to "OFF" position.
  • ALL indicator flash at the same time for 5 times: Indicates a need for descaling. Solution: Refer to "CLEAN LIMESCALE" instructions.

The manual also emphasizes important safety rules, including proper grounding, avoiding electrical shock, not immersing the cord or plug in water, not using damaged cords or plugs, and keeping the appliance away from children.
