To prevent damage or injury:
! DO NOT:
Let go of the hose while
rewinding. Always walk back to the reel holding the
hose.
Let go of the hose unless the
automatic latch mechanism is engaged.
Place fingers or objects in the hose aperture of the reel
during
operation.
Attempt to remove the screws from any part of the
casing.
! DO:
Remove the reel from the wall in winter to prevent
frost damage.
Keep the floor/ground below the reel as clear as
possible from water to minimise any risk of slipping.
Turn the tap off when not in use.
Fig 6.
If the hose doesn’t rewind properly when the tap is on:
! Depressurise the hose, either by allowing water to flow
through it while walking the hose end back to the reel
or by turning off the water supply to the hose.
! Lift the hose end above waist height if retraction loses
power in the last few metres.
! Walk the hose end back to the reel as shown in fig 6.
If the safety lock lever cannot be engaged when the
hose is fully re-wound, pull the hose out until you hear
one of the four clicks. The hose is now held in place
and the safety lock lever can be engaged.

Leaks from inside the reel
If water leaks from the water inlet side, lift the side disc
by putting a flat ended screwdriver in the slot.
If the leak is from the hose connector, tighten the hose
nut.
If the leak is from beneath the hose connector, follow
these instructions.
1. Remove the two screws holding the hose connector.
2. Remove and replace the “O” ring (spare part no
Z73045). Grease the “O” ring using petroleum jelly.
3. Tighten the hose nut.
4. Re-assemble.
Tension adjustment
The spring tension is factory pre-set and will not require
any adjustment.

To prevent damage being caused to your Auto Reel
over the winter months it is advisable that the excess
water be dispelled from the hosepipe.
This can be done by completing the following steps:
1. Disconnect the feeder hose from the tap
2. Place the end of the feeder hose on the ground
3. Pull out all of the hose ensuring the hose end
connection is ‘closed’ and then completely retract it
4. Excess water will dispel from the feeder hose
5. Repeat step 3 several times
By dispelling the excess water from your Auto Reel, it
will not only become lighter to transport inside during
winter, but will reduce the risk of water freezing inside
the reel.
