Automatic Display Switching
The
HP-25
switches
the
display
from
fixed
point
notation
to full
scientific
notation
(SC

whenever
the
number
is
too
large
or
too
small
to
be
seen
with a fixed
decimal
point.
This
feature
keeps
you
from
missing
unexpectedly
large
or
small a
nswer
s.
For
example
, if you
try
to
solve

in
normal

the
answer
is
automatically
shown
in
scientific
notation:
