Averaging Rate
Description
The HP 4284A's averaging rate function arithmetically averages the
results of two or more A/D conversions. (The A/D conversion time
can b e set in the

eld.) The number of conversions averaged
can b e set from 1 to 256, in steps of 1.

Perform the following steps to set the averaging rate.

Delay Time
Description (Refer to Appendix G.)
The HP 4284A's delay time function allows you to set a trigger delay
so the HP 4284A will delay the start of the measurement after it is
triggered. (When the list sweep measurement is performed, the
HP 4284A will delay the start of the measurement at eachsweep
point using the trigger delay time.) The trigger delay time can b e set
from 0 s to 60 s in 1 ms steps. This function is useful if a comp onent
handler triggers the HP 4284A b efore stable con
tact is made with the
device under test (
dut
).

Perform the following steps to set the delay time.
1. Move the cursor to the

2. Enter the delay time using the numeric entry keys. When one of
