Performance Test
Record
Record the results of each p erformance test in the Performance T
est Record lo cated at the end of this chapter. The performance
record lists each test, parameters tested, and acceptable tolerance
limits. Keep a record of past performance test results for comparison
purposes to help indicate any p ossible areas of developing trouble.
Note
The test limits indicated in each performance test do not takeinto
account the measurement errors induced by the st equipment used.
Be sure to consider this when determining whether or not the
HP 4284A meets is indicated specications.
Calibration Cycle
The HP 4284A required perio dic performance verication. How often
you verify p erformance dep ends on the op erating and envioremental
conditions. Check the HP 4284A using the p erformance tests
described in this chapter at least once a year. To minimize
instrumentdown-time and to ensure optimum op eration, perform
preventive maintenance and calibration at least twice a year.
