the 100  to the 30 k range, but the HP 4284A's measurement
accuracy sp ecication is only met by using the 30 k range. If this
DUT is measured by the 100 k range, UNBAL will be displayed.

Figure 3-4 and Figure 3-5 show the eective measuring range of each
measurement range, in which the HP 4284A's measurement accuracy
meets its sp ecication. When the measurement range is set manually,
the optimum measurement range should b e selected by matching
the DUT's imp edance to the eective measuring range shown in
Figure 3-4 and Figure 3-5. When the measuremen
t range is set to
AUTO, the optimum measurement range is automatically selected
according to the imp edance of each DUT.
