Before beginning the startup procedures, verif y that the DP Storage Ser ver
is completely installed, and that all cables and cords are connected. Also,
read the supp lied documentation before starting. Documents include:
• HP ProLiant D P Storage Server installation instructions (for your
model)

• HP ProLiant Storage Server release notes (available at:

To start DP Storage Server for the first time:
•
Administer the DP Storage Server, page 23
• Install the Windows Multilingual User Interface (MU I)
(optional), page 25

Prepare the D P Storage Server for DPM installation, page 26
•
Run the DPM mini-setup,page27
•
Complete additional setup (optional),page30.
•
Change default storage configurations (optional), page 31
NOTE:
The WebUI is disabled until the DPM mini-setup is complete.
Administer the DP Storage Server
Use one of the following administration methods:

Using the Remote Desktop Connection method, page 23
• Using the Direct Attach method, page 24

Using the Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) method, page 25

DP Storage Server ships with DHCP enabled on the n etwork port. If the
