contains a file-system error number.
Effect No process is created.
Recovery Refer to “File-System Errors” (page 19), for corrective action for the file-system error
returned in the error-detail information.
2 PARAMETER ERROR
Cause The call contained an invalid combination of options. For the PROCESS_LAUNCH_ and
PROCESS_SPAWN_ procedures, the error-detail information indicates the first parameter to be
found in error. See Table 7for possible values. For the PROCESS_CREATE_ procedure, the
error-detail information contains the number of first parameter found to be in error, where 1
designates the leftmost parameter.
Effect The procedure sets the error code and returns without performing the requested operation.
Recovery Check the call to make sure the options are correct and in the proper order.
3 BOUNDS VIOLATION
Cause There was a bounds violation on a reference parameter. For the PROCESS_LAUNCH_ and
PROCESS_SPAWN_ procedures, the error-detail information indicates the first parameter to be
found in error. See Table 7 for possible values. For the PROCESS_CREATE_ procedure, the
error-detail information contains the number of first parameter found to be in error, where 1
designates the leftmost parameter.
Effect The procedure sets the error code and returns without performing the requested operation.
Recovery Pass a correct reference address.
