Measure print length.
Replace in order U4, and R4
through RT.
Check to make sure that the
head carrier does not hit
the left-hand wall.
Check line-to-line line
length uniformity.
The printed line length at
5.70 volts should be 1.47 to
1.54 inches ( 3.73 to 3.91 cm)
measured from a point 0.33 inches
(0.84 cm) from the right hand
wall. For longer line decrease
resistance; for shorter line in-
crease resistance. (See table
4-7.)
If satisfactory, go to step 16.
If not, measure the voltage
on pin 1 of U5.(1.0+-0.025
Vde)
If the voltage is correct,
go to step 15.
If not, replace U5. Then go to
step 15.
When print length is set correct-
ly, go to step 16.
If the head carrier action 1is
satisfactory, go to step 17.
If not, replace U2 and R4 and
check the homeswitch alignment.
Then go to step 17.
If satisfactory, the printer
is repaired.
If not, replace C2. The printer
is then repaired.
