Known Problems and Workarounds
This section describes the known problems and workarounds for
HP DCE/9000 Enhanced DFS Version 3.0.
Problems Accessing Foreign Cell
If a DFS client attempts to access servers in another cell, an error appears
indicating that the directory is invalid. The root cause of this defect is under
active investigation.
FTS Produces Core Dump
If you provide an illegal argument to FTS, it produces a core dump. The
problem is with the underlying DCE product. This problem will be
addressed in a patch to the 64-bit DCE library.
Local LFS Mount Not Supported
Enhanced DFS 3.0 does not support the mounting of Episode LFS filesets
locally; no epimount command is provided.
Exporting VxFS File System Not Supported
Enhanced DFS 3.0 does not support exporting the VxFS file system.
DCM Tool Not Supported
Enhanced DFS 3.0 does not support the SAM-based DCE Configuration
Manager (DCM) tool. To configure Enhanced DFS 3.0, you must use the
dce_config command explicitly, as instructed in
Planning and Configuring HP

, or use the new TCL commands.
