4-4 Using the CD-ROM to Install the Software

Select “Let me configure my own network settings” if you
need to uniquely specify network parameters for the printer,
or you are on a Novell NetWare network. Network
administrators will prefer this option.
Then click Next.
Note: If you select this option, the wizard will require your
printer’s driver with the appropriate extension (*.inf) to
complete the installation. If it is not already installed, you
will need to provide it when prompted (for example, from
your printer’s CD-ROM or downloaded from the Internet).
The applicable drivers are commonly referred to as the
“Add Printer” printer drivers, or the “Corporate User”
printer drivers.
4. Follow the remaining instructions displayed. Click Help on each
screen for additional instructions.
For non-technical users,
select this option.
For control of network settings, and for
NetWare networks, select this option.
