Remove the covers to gain access to the internal replaceable parts.
Right-side cover
1 Before removing the cover, examine Figure 5-6 Remove the right-side cover (1 of 4; HP LJ 1020
printer shown) on page 75 and note the location of tabs on the cover.

2 Remove one screw (callout 1) and then release one tab (callout 2).
