Turn the quarter-turn fasteners clockwise.
Upgrading an HP Smart Array E200i Controller cache module and battery pack
Use this procedure to upgrade the standard memory module to an optional memory module with a battery
pack.
1. Power down the server (on page 18).
2. Extend the server from the rack (on page 19).
3. Remove the access panel (on page 20).
4. Remove the air baffle. ("Remove the power supply air baffle" on page 21, "Remove the processor
air baffle" on page 22)
5. Disconnect the hard drive backplane power cable.
6. Remove the existing cache module.
