HTC One X Overview

HTC One X
Global Positioning System:
GPS has often been a subject of dismay for the
Android User. Not with the One X, this phone
has an amazingly powerful antenna within its
Uni-body construct.
Sitting inside my House,
I was able to “Lock” onto 10 Satellites with a
total of 16 Satellites located!
Take a look at the Accuracy, 6 feet…!
In comparison have a look at the same App on a
slightly older Android Phone.
The Phone was in the same position in the
House, and was left for 2 minutes to maximise
Satellite location.

As you can see, from the same position inside
my House the older Android phone can only
see 6 Satellites and was unable to get a Lock
on any of them. The accuracy was a shocking
605 feet!
I should also point out that the other phone was
using GPS Assist. This utilises Wi-Fi signals to
help pin point positioning. Whereas this feature
was deliberately turned off on the HTC One X.
I had to try and give my old phone a chance
after all…!
I think you’ll agree the One X has a very
impressive performance.
