NOTE: Install all cables securely, so that they do not become a hazard
and that they cannot be tripped over.
USING THE WATER LEVEL SWITCH
The main power plug is plugged into a 230 V mains socket. The power LED will
shine green and the device is ready for use. You should then check the function
of the sensor and the device. To do this place a drop of water on the two metal
pins at the tip of the sensor or connect them with a piece of metal.
When connected a click of the sensor within the device should be heard and the
red LED Rel. Ein (ON) should light up or the connected component should
switch itself on. When the contacts of the relay are free again, the device will
reset after 20 seconds. Connect the pump only after the test to avoid dry use
of the pump while testing,
OPEN / CLOSED RELAY
The relay of the 230 V output can be configured as open or closed:
Relay ON (Default): The basic status of the relay is open. The output
socket has no current. The relay will switch the output socket ON when the
water sensor comes into contact with water.
Relay OFF: The basic status of the relay is closed.” The output socket has a
current. The relay will switch the socket OFF (the relay switches and interrupts
the contacts), when the water sensor comes into contact with water. E.g., a
container fills with water and the water flow needs to be switched off when a
defined level is reached.
To redefine the default setting of the relay, the housing of the unit needs to be
opened. Before opening the housing, make sure that the unit is fully
disconnected from the main power supply!
Open the housing by unscrewing the four screws located at the front of the
housing and remove the lid. Unscrew the L1 screw of the 3-fold terminal and
remove the wire. Place this wire into terminal L2. Fasten all screws and make
sure that the wire is not loose by giving the cable a short pull. Replace the lid
and fasten the four screws.
If you are not sure, how to handle the configuration safely, please consult a
specialist for your own safety.
