The HUATO A2000 series alarming thermo-hygrometer is a versatile device designed to measure temperature and humidity with varying degrees of accuracy, featuring an auto-alarming function. It is suitable for both desktop and wall-mounted applications. The device displays real-time temperature and humidity, alarm status, time, and battery status on a large LCD screen. It has found widespread use in various environments such as laboratories, factories, and the medical industry.

Function Description:

The A2000 series measures and displays temperature and humidity. It incorporates an audible and visual alarm system that activates when measured values exceed or fall below user-defined limits. The device can display temperature in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. It also shows the current time and date simultaneously with temperature and humidity readings. The built-in alarm function allows users to set high and low limits for both temperature and humidity. The device also includes a re-calibration setup and a clock setting.

  • Power Supply: DC 9-12V, 5.5mm.
  • Host Size (L x H x D): 135mm x 124mm x 35mm.
  • LCD Screen Size: 88mm x 55mm.
  • Temperature & Humidity External Probe Diameter: 16mm (for models with external probes).
  • Material: Plastic shell made of ABS, flame retardant, not resistant to acid and alkali.
  • Battery: The instrument configuration by 9V Battery is not rechargeable.
  • USB Power Supply: USB power supply (2.7V) cannot let the Data Logger work.

Usage Features:

  • Display: Large LCD simultaneously displays temperature, humidity, data, and time, as well as battery status.
  • Mounting: Elegant appearance design, suitable for both desktop placement and wall-mounting.
  • Alarms: Built-in audible and visual alarm with limit alarm functionality.
  • Temperature Units: Fahrenheit and Celsius units are available and selectable.
  • Button Functions:
    • MENU: Setup key. Press to enter setting status for temperature and humidity high/low limits, alarm function, clock, and re-calibration.
    • MAX/MIN (Up Arrow): Multifunction key. In setting status, press to increase the displayed value by 1. In normal working status, it displays the maximum recorded value.
    • MAX/MIN (Down Arrow): Multifunction key. In setting status, press to decrease the displayed value by 1. In normal working status, it displays the minimum recorded value.
    • OK: Multifunction key. In setting status, it acts as an OK key to enter the next setting menu (high/low limit, re-calibration, alarm, and clock settings). In normal working status, it acts as the ON/OFF key.
    • MAX/MIN (simultaneous press): Pressing both MAX/MIN keys simultaneously locks and unlocks the hygrometer. Keys are unavailable during the locked status.
  • Setting Example: To set the temperature high limit, press MENU to enter setting status, then press OK to enter high limit setting status. Use the MAX/MIN (Up/Down Arrow) keys to adjust the temperature value. Press OK again to confirm the setting and move to the next setting status. The sequence of settings is: High and low limits setup → Alarm function setup → Clock setup → Re-calibration setup.
  • Battery Indicator: A black battery symbol indicates full power; a white symbol indicates that battery exchange is necessary.

Maintenance Features:

  • Repair: There are no user-serviceable parts inside the unit. Attempting to repair or service the unit may void the warranty. If repair is needed, only an authorized technician should perform it.
  • LCD Screen Dim: If the LCD screen appears dim, it could be due to insufficient battery or extreme environmental temperatures (too low or too high).
    • Solution for insufficient battery: Replace the battery.
    • Solution for environmental temperature: Immediately move the logger out of the extreme environment.
  • Warranty: The device comes with a 1-year warranty.
