Perform the following steps to configure a static IP address for the eSpace 6870.
Step 1
Press
MENU
(the round button in the center of the arrow keys) to access the
menu.
Step 2
Choose
Network
. Press
MENU
to access the
Network
menu.
Step 3
Access the
IP Setting
menu and press
DOWN
to select
STATIC IP
(
DHCP
by default).
Step 4
Access the
IP
menu and press
BackSpace
to delete all the default values, and
then type the static IP address. Press
OK
to confirm and exit.
Step 5
Configure
Netmask
and
Gateway
by using the same method.
Step 6
Press
MENU
to return to the Config menu after setting
Gateway
. Press
LEFT
to return to the main menu.
Step 7
Choose
Reboot
, and then Press
MENU
to reboot the eSpace 6870.
Configuring Basic SIP Information in Web Mode
The web-enabled computer has to be connected to the same sub-network as the phone.
This can easily be done by connecting the computer to the same hub or switch as the
phone is connected to. In absence of a hub/switch (or free ports on the hub/switch),
connect the computer directly to the phone by using the PC port on the phone. Make
sure the phone is powered on and displays the IP address. To access the web
configuration menu of the phone, do as follows:
Step 1
Open the Web browser such as the Internet Explorer. Type
http://192.168.0.160/
in the address bar and press
Enter
to display the login
page.
Where, 192.168.0.160 is the IP address of the eSpace 6870.
Step 2
Type the administrator password, and then click
Login
.
The default administrator password is admin.
Step 3
After login, click the
Accounts
tab to display the configuration page, as
shown in Figure 3-1. Table 3-1 lists the information that you must configure.
