1 Open Settings.
2 Go to Security & privacy > Face unlock and enter your screen unlock password. If you haven't
set up a lock screen password, select Pattern, PIN, or Password and follow the onscreen
instructions to set one.
3 You can select Enable Pick up to wake device to enhance the Face unlock experience. In
this case, your Phone will turn on the screen and identify your facial features to unlock the screen
automatically whenever you pick up your Phone and hold it to your face. If you do not wish to use
this feature, you can disable this option. Touch Continue and follow the onscreen instructions to
enroll your face.
4 Methods to set Face unlock:
l Direct unlock: Turn on the screen. Your Phone identies your facial features and unlocks the
screen.
l Swipe to unlock: Turn on the screen. After your Phone identies your facial features, swipe
the lock screen to unlock your device.
l Smart display of lock screen notications: Enable Slide to unlock and Smart lock screen
notications. On the lock screen, your Phone hides notication details by default and displays
them only after recognizing the device owner's face.
Delete Face Data
If you no longer use Face unlock or want re-input your face data, you can delete the current face
data.
Open
Settings, go to Security & privacy > Face unlock, follow the onscreen instructions and
enter the lock screen password, then touch Delete face data and follow the onscreen instructions to
delete your current face data.
Pick Up to Lock
Open
Settings, and go to Security & privacy > Face unlock. When enrolling facial data, select
Enable Pick up to wake device to enhance the Face unlock experience, and set the Face unlock
method to Direct unlock. Once the setup is complete, you can simply raise your Phone to unlock the
screen, without a password or ngerprint.
If you haven't selected Enable Pick up to wake device to enhance the Face unlock experience
when enrolling facial data, you can open
Settings, go to Security & privacy > Face unlock, and
set the Face unlock method to Direct unlock. Then, open
Settings, go to Smart assistance >
Motion control > Pick up, and select Wake up device.
