Directly connecting front-end ports to the application server
The controller enclosure can be connected to application servers using front-end ports. The following figures are
examples of cable connections. The details such as cable appearance and types of interface modules may be
different from those at your site.
Dorado3000 V3 supports the following types of front-end ports: 8 Gbit/s, 16 Gbit/s, or 32 Gbit/s Fibre Channel,
10GE, 25GE, 40GE, and 100GE.
Dorado5000 V3 (NVMe) and Dorado5000 V3 Enhanced Edition (SAS) support the following types of front-end
ports: 8 Gbit/s, 16 Gbit/s, or 32 Gbit/s Fibre Channel, 10GE, 10 Gbit/s FCoE, 56 Gbit/s InfiniBand, 25GE, 40GE,
and 100GE.
Dorado5000 V3 (SAS) supports the following types of front-end ports: 8 Gbit/s or 16 Gbit/s Fibre Channel, 10GE,
10 Gbit/s FCoE, and 56 Gbit/s InfiniBand.
