use the tripod as it may not be stable or may not secure
the camera.
Do not raise the tripod with your Hudl Focus Flex camera
higher than 20 ft. (6.1 m) in the air. Raising the tripod
higher than 20 ft. (6.1 m) will reduce the tripod’s stability
and may result in serious injury or property damage.
The tripod is most stable when the bottom of the center
column is even with the parallel bars. Letting the column
rest on the ground actually worsens the stability of the
tripod.
Always use the Stabilization Kit (ropes/stakes or
sandbag) any time you raise the tripod, regardless of
conditions and even if the tripod manufacturer’s manual
does not state that it’s required. Failure to use the
Stabilization Kit may result in serious injury or property
damage. Secure each tripod leg to the eld using the
ropes/stakes from the Stabilization Kit or, where stakes
cannot be used such as on articial turf, stabilize the
tripod by placing the lled sandbag across one tripod
leg brace. Sandbag must be lled with 30 lbs (13.6 kg) of
sand prior to use. Follow the instructions in this manual
on how to properly use the Stabilization Kit with your
camera. The stakes should NOT be used on articial turf.
If used on articial turf, the tripod may not be stabilized
and serious injury or property damage may result.
Do not use the Hudl Focus Flex camera with the tripod
in conditions where the tripod cannot be stabilized even
with the Stabilization Kit, such as in the event of high
winds or wind gusts. High winds or wind gusts may
cause the tripod to tip over or the camera to separate
from the tripod (even when using the Stabilization Kit),
possibly causing serious injury or property damage.
Always ensure that bystanders are kept away from the
Stabilization Kit ropes/stakes to avoid serious injury or
property damage from a bystander tripping on a rope or
stake.
If you need to move the Hudl Focus Flex camera to a
dierent location while it’s mounted on a tripod, fully
lower the tripod before moving. Failure to fully lower the
tripod and camera before moving may result in the tripod
tipping over, possibly causing serious injury or property
damage.
