Usage Features

  • Sitting: To sit, the user should touch the back of their legs to the edge of the seat to ensure the rollator is properly positioned. The brakes must be in the parked/locked position before attempting to sit. Users should not support their weight on the handles when attempting to sit; instead, use the handles to stabilize the body while carefully turning around and slowly lowering weight onto the seat.
  • Brakes:
    • Locking: Push down on the handle (for the loop handle, push down the red ball at the end of the handle) until it locks into a downward position.
    • Releasing: Pull up on the handle.
    • Speed Control: Squeeze the handle for speed control.
    • Adjustment: The brake can be adjusted by turning the screw on the brake pad using an Allen Key. Clockwise tightens the brake, and counter-clockwise loosens it. Do not overtighten.
  • Handle Height Adjustment: The handle height can be adjusted to suit the user. Ensure the handle is in a neutral position before adjustment. The upper internal tube color must match the lower tube color in the frame.
  • Folding/Opening:
    • Folding: Pull up on the seat strap located in the middle of the seat. Push down on the seat to lock it into place.
    • Opening: Loosen the larger plastic part on the lock snap and slide the rollator's handle outwards. Pull apart the push handles to open the rollator into the proper walking position. Raise the rollator to rest on the rear wheels while pulling apart.
    • The neXus 3 can be partly folded for passing through narrow doorways.
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Do not leave the rollator unattended.
    • Do not use it as a wheelchair or transport chair.
    • Do not put fingers between the brake and push handle (pinch point).
    • Do not lean on one side when sitting to prevent tipping.
    • Do not use on stairs or escalators; only use on even surfaces.
    • Do not squeeze the brake continuously while walking, as this causes premature wear.
    • Do not rest anything on the backstrap, as it may break.
    • Do not hang anything on the backstrap.
    • Do not exceed the weight capacity.
    • Ensure all bolts are securely fastened before use.
    • Do not adjust brake tension until wheels lose molding sheen.
    • Brakes must be in the parked/locked position before sitting on the rollator.
    • Do not put anything on a folded rollator, as it can cause damage.
    • If stored in transportation (plane, train, boat, bus, car), inspect for damage before use.
    • Do not use brake handles when sitting and standing; use the upper handgrip for stabilization.
    • Ensure the walking path is clear of obstacles.
    • Product modification is not permitted.
    • Always check that the sling is not damaged or worn before use.
    • Always use the seat center handle to fold the rollator; folding in any other manner may cause injury.
    • If storing the rollator for extended periods in a folded position, raise handles to avoid indentation on the seat.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning: Water and mild detergent are recommended for cleaning. Do not use chlorine bleach, abrasive cleansers, naphtha, gasoline, or other solvents. To wash, remove the two soft seat cushions by loosening the red Nexus handle and unbuttoning them from the seat. After washing, re-mount the cushions. Machine wash at 60°C for 7-8 minutes is possible, observing finishing requirements. Avoid flushing with bearings (wheels, forks).
  • Inspection:
    • Inspect the rollator annually by an authorized dealer/service agent. Only authorized personnel should adjust the rollator.
    • Periodically check that black height adjustment knobs are tightened securely.
    • Frequently check for loose, cracked, or corroded plastic or metal components.
    • Ensure front forks and all wheels swivel easily and are clear of dirt or obstructions.
  • Storage:
    • Do not store the rollator near a heat source.
    • Do not leave the rollator exposed to the elements (weather).
  • Parts and Accessories: Use only authorized parts/accessories.
  • Assembly: Ensure the handle is in a neutral position when assembling. Align the hexagon shape of the bolt in the plastic cap. Tap the brake pad and push the bolt through. When installing the backstrap, ensure the key shape faces up, place it into the clamp, and tighten. When installing the soft zippered bag, slide the metal frame into the slots, ensuring the clamp is visible in the cut-out. Attach each clamp to the front rollator frame, ensuring the bag is level and the clamp is above the fork cap. Unfold the rollator once clamps are secured. Take care not to strip clamp screws when tightening.

Optional Accessories

  • Basket (Model 4510): Hooks onto the crossbar supporting the seat.
  • Cane Holder (Model 80703): Clamps around the frame tubing. The attachment/cup is placed into the clamp locks before closing the clamp.
  • Tray (Model #80702): Bracket attaches over the back edge of the seat and is secured by pressing it over the front edge. Removed by lifting.
  • Cup Holder (Model #90394): Gently unscrew the rotating knob clockwise to loosen (max 45mm). Place the clip on the rollator frame under the star handle with the cup facing the user. Tighten the rotating knob counter-clockwise. Test for stability before use.
  • Identification Tag (Model #90392/90393): Wrap the tag around the desired area, bend it slightly, and insert the wide edge through the keyhole opening. Enter information on the provided card and insert it into the sleeve.
  • Slow Down Brake (Model 4950): Installation by an authorized service agent only. Ensure the bracket faces up when positioning the wheel. Remove the axle bolt with a 5mm Allen Key, slide out the wheel, then slide the wheel into the plastic fork, reinserting the axle bolt. Position the slow-down brake so mounting holes align with the top hole of the rear plastic fork. Install with provided screws, taking care not to strip them. Tighten the bolt with the nut until completely through and tight. Do not use if the bolt is not secure or the wheel wobbles.
