MAINTENANCE
IN-LINE FUEL FILTER (See Fig. 16)
The fuel filter should be replaced once each season. Iffuel
filter becomes clogged, obstructing fuel flow to carburetor,
replacement is required.
• With engine cool, remove filter and plug fuel line sec-
tions,
• Place new fuel filter in position in fuel line with arrow
pointing towards carburetor.

• Be sure there are no fuel line leaks and clamps are
properly positioned,
• Immediately wipe up any spilled gasoline,
CLEANING
• Clean engine, battery, seat, finish, etc. of all foreign
matter,
• Keep finished surfaces and wheels free of all gasoline,
oil, etc,
• Protect painted surfaces with automotive type wax.
We do not recommend using a garden hose or pressure
washer to clean your tractor unless the engine and trans-
mission are covered to keep water out. Water in engine or
transmission will shorten the useful life of your tractor, Use
compressed air or a leaf blower to remove grass, leaves
and trash from tractor and mower.
SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS
WARNING: TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY, BEFORE PERFORMING ANY SERVICE OR ADJUST-
MENTS:
• Depress brake pedal fully and set parking brake.
• Place attachment clutch in"DISENGAGED" position.
• Turn ignition key to "STOP" and remove key.
• Make sure the blades and all moving parts have completely stopped.
• Disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug and place wire where it cannot come in contact
with plug.

TO REMOVE MOWER
• Place attachment clutch in "DISENGAGED" position,
• Lower attachment lift lever to its lowest position,
• Disengage belt tension rod (K) from lock bracket (L).
CAUTION: Belt tension rod is spring I
loaded, Have a tight grip on rodana

release slowly,
• Remove mower belt from electric clutch pulley (M),
• Disconnect front link (E) from mower - remove retainer
spring and washer,
• Go to either side of mower and disconnect mower
suspension arm (A) from chassis and rear lift link (C)
from rear mower bracket (D) - remove retainer springs
and washers,
• Go to other side of mower and disconnect the suspen-
sion arm and rear lift link,
