How to fix Husqvarna BE550 Edger when engine will not start?
    • T
      Tracy VanceJul 31, 2025
If the Husqvarna Edger engine won't start, first, ensure the fuel valve is open. Next, if the engine is cold, close the choke. Make sure you are in the operator position and holding down the operator presence switch. Check the fuel level and add fuel if needed. If the machine was stored improperly, clean the tank and carburetor, then refill with fresh fuel. Also, if there's contamination in the fuel system, clean the tank and carburetor and use fresh fuel. If the spark plug has gasoline or oil on it, clean the spark plug, air out the engine, and start with full throttle. You might also need to replace the spark plug or check/clean the electrode gap.
