Hold the latch in front of the door
hole, with the latch face flush
against the door edge. Is the sloed
hole centered in the door hole?
Is the door edge chiseled?
Prepare the door and check dimensions
Determine backset and adjust the latch
Install strike and test alignment
Install the latch
Rotate and pull the latch
as shown to extend latch.

NO
Sloed hole is
NOT centered.
YES
Sloed hole is centered.
No adjustment is required.
Proceed to next step.
