REAPER ROTATING JETTING NOZZLE
USER MANUAL
REV E
• Only competent and trained persons should operate this equipment.
• The immediate work area should be marked off to keep out
untrained persons.
• All personnel in the area should wear appropriate personal
protective equipment.
• Make sure all threaded connections are tight and leak free.
• Check nozzle orices before use. If any are plugged, they must be
cleaned or replaced.
• A protective sleeve (Tiger Tail) should be used. The retaining clamp and
rope should be attached to the end of the sleeve nearest the truck.
• Never operate tools in a pipe or opening of a large enough diameter that
would allow the tool to turn around.
• Position the tool three feet or more into the line before going up to
operating pressure.
• Tape a ag or marker to the hose three feet from the nozzle. There should
be only one marker on the hose. Do not rely on the reel counter to
determine length of hose remaining in line.
• Build pressure slowly to ensure tool is positioned and
functioning properly.
• Do not exceed the maximum operating pressure specied for any
component in a system (nozzle, ttings, or hose).
• Avoid operator/personnel positioning in possible path of out of
control tool.
• Turn off and secure pump before removing tool from line.

4. CONNECTION & NOZZLE OPERATION
Nozzle Connection: Before connecting the Reaper nozzle, ush the jetter hose to remove any debris in the line. Next, check the inlet screen to ensure it’s free of
debris and then attach the nozzle using Teon tape. Once attached, feed the nozzle into the pipe you’re cleaning and ensure it’s approximately 4-6’ (1.2-1.8m) in
before you start the pump. Once the pump is started and at the correct pressure, ensure the Reaper beings to pull itself into the pipe.
Nozzle Operation: If you feel the nozzle hit a blockage during operation, back the nozzle up 4-6”(102-152mm) for anything below a 4” pipe, 6-8” (180-225mm)
for 4” (110mm) pipe or 12-16” (305-406mm) for 8” (225mm) pipe and allow nozzle to cut through the blockage for a few seconds before proceeding.
Nozzle Storage: After use, shut down the pump before removing the hose. We recommend draining water out of the nozzle before storage to extend the
product’s life.
