Why is the water pressure so low from my Hydronix Hydro Guard HDGT-45?
    • V
      Vincent RichardsonAug 1, 2025
The primary reason for low water pressure from your Hydronix Water Dispenser faucet is incorrect air pressure in the holding tank. To resolve this, empty the water from the holding tank, shut off the feed water, and remove the holding tank. Locate the air valve stem and add air. If water remains, continue adding air until it's expelled. Pressurize the tank to 8 PSI, then reinstall it, turn on the feed supply, and allow the tank to refill.

What to do if drain water overflows at the air gap faucet of Hydronix Hydro Guard HDGT-45 Water Dispenser?
    • S
      samantha18Aug 9, 2025
If the drain water is overflowing at the air gap faucet of your Hydronix Water Dispenser, it could be due to a clogged air gap. Try clearing the air gap. Alternatively, the drain line might be clogged, so clear the tubing. If the drain flow rate is too high, consider replacing the flow restrictor.

Why does my Hydronix Hydro Guard HDGT-45 Water Dispenser water have tastes and odors?
    • M
      Miss Katie DavisAug 18, 2025
If the water from your Hydronix Water Dispenser has unpleasant tastes or odors, the carbon post filter may be exhausted and needs replacement. There might be foreign matter in the holding tank, requiring you to clean, flush, and sanitize the tank, and replace the filters. Check if the product water and drain water lines are reversed, and correct the plumbing if so. Dissolved gases in the feed water could also be the cause, necessitating pre-treatment of the feed water to remove these gases. Lastly, an increase in product water TDS may be the reason; refer to the section on high TDS in product water for solutions.

If your Hydronix Water Dispenser faucet leaks from the spout, try adjusting the faucet by turning the tee bar located under the handle to provide a small amount of free play in the handle when shut off. If the leak persists, repair or replace the faucet. If the leaks are coming from beneath the handle, repair or replace the faucet.

How to fix not enough water from Hydronix Water Dispenser holding tank?
    • H
      howarddanielNov 4, 2025
If your Hydronix Water Dispenser isn't providing enough water, several factors could be at play. The feed water valve might be plugged or closed, so open the valve or unclog it. The sediment/carbon prefilter or carbon post filter may be clogged, requiring replacement. Low incoming water pressure (below 40 PSI) could be the issue, necessitating the installation of a booster pump or permeate pump. The reverse osmosis membrane might be fouled; ensure the incoming water pressure is within limits and the drain line isn't clogged, then replace the RO membrane. Incorrect air pressure in the holding tank (it should be between 8-10 PSI after emptying the tank) or a ruptured air bladder may also be responsible, requiring either air pressure adjustment or tank replacement. Check if the holding tank v...

Why is the product water from my Hydronix Hydro Guard HDGT-45 Water Dispenser high in total dissolved solids (TDS)?
    • V
      vbrownNov 13, 2025
If your Hydronix Water Dispenser's product water has high total dissolved solids (TDS), the prefilter might be clogged, so replace it. Low incoming water pressure (below 40 PSI) can also cause this; install a booster pump or permeate pump. Ensure the reverse osmosis membrane is correctly sealed in the membrane housing. If the membrane is expended, replace it, after correcting the problem that caused the short life. Check for reversed product water and drain water lines and correct the plumbing if needed. A clogged drain flow restrictor or air gap faucet can also be the cause, so replace or clear them, respectively. Repair or replace the automatic shut-off valve if it's not closing. If you've just installed a new carbon postfilter, drain the holding tank twice to rinse it completely. Finall...
