The Hyundai 56251 Cut-Off Machine with Laser is designed for sawing wood and wood products. It is a versatile tool capable of making straight, miter, and bevel cuts, as well as compound miter cuts.
Function Description:
The machine features a cutting arm (1) with an operating handle (3) and a saw blade protected by a blade guard (4) and a protective cover (5). The saw blade's angle can be adjusted for miter cuts using the miter stop (12) and miter angle scale (11), and for bevel cuts using the bevel lock (6) and bevel scale (7). A laser (17) is integrated to project the cutting line onto the workpiece, enhancing precision. The machine includes an on/off switch (13) for power and a separate on/off switch (18) for the laser. For dust management, a dust extraction connector (16) allows for the attachment of a dust bag or an industrial dust extractor. The cutting arm can be locked in a lowered position for transport using the release button (2) and head lock (15).

Usage Features:
The machine must be securely screwed to a workbench before use.
- Release Button: Used to raise the cutting head from its locked transport position. Pressing and holding it allows the head to be lowered.
- Miter Angle Adjustment: The miter stop (12) locks the table at the desired miter angle, adjustable from 0° to 45° left and right. To adjust, unscrew the miter stop, turn the head, and then tighten the stop.
- Bevel Angle Adjustment: The bevel lock (6) secures the saw blade at the desired bevel angle. To adjust, loosen the lock, set the cutting arm to the desired angle, and tighten the lock.
- Laser Usage: The laser (17) projects a cutting line onto the workpiece. It is activated by its dedicated on/off switch (18). To use, lower the head (with the machine off), align the laser line with the marked cutting line on the workpiece, then raise the head and switch on the machine for cutting. Always switch off the laser after use.
- Saw Blade Replacement: Only sharp and undamaged saw blades suitable for the machine's speed (at least 4,500 min⁻¹) and with matching spindle diameter and bore should be used. HSS steel blades are not recommended. Always disconnect the machine from the mains supply before changing the saw blade. The process involves lowering the operating handle, raising the cutting arm, removing the guide and protective cover, accessing and loosening the locking screw (which has a left-handed thread), and then replacing the blade.
- Dust Extraction: A dust bag or an industrial dust extractor can be connected to the dust extraction connector (16) (internal diameter 40 mm) to manage sawdust.
- Safety Precautions: Always wear safety glasses, ear protection, and a dust mask. Ensure all movable guards are in perfect working order. Never block the saw blade guard. Do not attempt to slow the saw blade by applying side pressure. Before any maintenance, always unplug the machine.
- Laser Safety: This is a Class 2 laser. Never look directly into the laser beam or point it at people or reflective surfaces. If the laser unit is damaged, it should be repaired by an authorized service agent.
Maintenance Features:
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a drop of oil to the thread of the fixing screw.
- Cleaning: The machine does not require special maintenance, but the ventilation slots should be cleaned regularly.
