Installation Procedure
1. Determine which expansion slot you will use for the adapter.
The top six slots are for EISA or ISA adapters, and the bottom
three slots are for PCI adapters. The bottom EISA slot and the
top PCI slot together represent a shared slot. If you use one of
these slots, you cannot use the other.
Check the instructions that come with the adapter for any
requirements or restrictions. If there are no restrictions other
than those listed in “Considerations” on page 181, you can use
any empty EISA or PCI slot.
