PeerMaster Adapter Screen Messages
This section lists the PeerMaster diagnostic and setup error
messages, Novell NetWare load-time error messages, and Novell
NetWare run-time error messages. The messages are in bold type;
their descriptions or actions are listed in numeric order for each
type of message.
Diagnostic and Setup Error Messages
Diagnostic error messages include POST, load-time, and run-time
error messages. You may invoke these self tests using the setup and
diagnostics program, PSSETUP.EXE, provided on your PeerMaster
Server Adapter Option Diskette. Refer to “Running PeerMaster
Diagnostic Programs” on page 151 for more information.
1: POST Flash Main Sector Checksum Failure
Action: Call for service.
2: POST was not performed - adapter restarted
Action: Call for service.
3: POST Test Sequence Internal Failure
Action: Call for service.
4: POST Flash Boot Sector Checksum Failure
Action: Call for service.
5: POST DRAM Size Detection Failure
Action: Power down the server. Verify proper seating of the DRAM
SIMM on the adapter and try again. If failure persists, call for service.
6: POST DRAM Byte (8 bit) Wide Failure
Action: Power down the server. Verify proper seating of the DRAM
SIMM on the adapter and try again. If failure persists, call for service.
