Installing PeerMaster LAN Software
Custom Statistics for MXPCI4BT.LAN
You can display custom statistics for MXPCI4BT.LAN using
MONITOR.NLM. You can select a specific instance of
MXPCI4BT.LAN when multiple instances are loaded by two
parameters: slot number and packet type. The following example
shows how MONITOR.NLM prompts you to select among multiple
instances of MXPCI4BT.
MXPCI4BT SLOT=15 FRAME=ETHERNET_82.2
MXPCI4BT SLOT=16 FRAME=ETHERNET_82.2
MXPCI4BT SLOT=17 FRAME=ETHERNET_82.2
MXPCI4BT SLOT=18 FRAME=ETHERNET_82.2
Slot numbers appear in hex format. Slot numbers specified when
loading the device driver, however, must be specified in decimal
format. Therefore, you must translate slot numbers from hex to
decimal when loading the device drivers. The preceding example
represents the device drivers loaded with decimal slot numbers 21,
22, 23, and 24. This corresponds to ports 1, 2, 3, and 4 on the
PeerMaster adapter installed in physical slot 2.
The following custom statistics are presented on a peer-port basis:
Bytes Received: The total number of bytes that the port
received from its segment.
Unicast Packets Received: The total number of unicast packets
that the port received from its segment.
Multicast Packets Received: The total number of multicast
packets that the port received from its segment.
Broadcast Packets Received: The total number of broadcast
packets that the port received from its segment.
Discarded Received Packets: The total number of incoming
packets that the port was unable to receive from its segment due
to lack of resources.
Receive Errors: The total number of damaged packets that the
port received from its segment.
Bytes Transmitted: The total number of bytes that the port
transmitted to its segment.
