11. Perform the following:
a. Disconnect the ac line cords from the power outlet.
b. Use a multimeter to measure the ac voltage at the customer’s ac power outlet.
Is the ac voltage from 200 V ac to 240 V ac? On a FC 5095 the ac voltage may also be 100 V to
127 V ac.
v Yes: Exchange the failing ac line cord or ac jumper cord.
This
ends the procedure.
v No: Perform the following:
a. Inform the customer that the ac voltage at the power outlet is not correct.
b. Reconnect the ac line cords to the power outlet after the ac voltage at the power outlet is
correct.
This ends the procedure.

1. Are the ac line cords from the failing tower or unit to the customer’s ac power outlet connected and
seated correctly at both ends?
v Yes: Is the SRC 1xxx-00AC?
Yes: Continue with the next step.
No: Go to step 5 (See page 183).
v
No: Connect the ac line cords correctly at both ends.
This ends the procedure.
2. Is the SRC 1xxx-00AC with the system powered on?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: Exchange the SPCN card - see Symbolic FRU “TWRCARD” on page 470.
This
ends the procedure.
3. Perform the following:
a. Disconnect the ac line cords from the customer’s ac power outlets.
b. Use a multimeter to measure the ac voltage at the customer’s ac power outlets.
Is the ac voltage from 200 V ac to 240 V ac or (for Models 870 or 890 processor units) 432 V ac to
508 V ac?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: Perform the following:
a. Inform the customer that the ac voltage at the power outlet is not correct.
b. Reconnect the ac line cords to the power outlet after the ac voltage at the power outlet is
correct.
This ends the procedure.
4. Perform the following:
a. Reconnect the ac line cords to the power outlet.
b. Disconnect the ac line cords from both AC modules or unit connectors.
