v Yes: Exchange Processor 3 VPD card/processor. See symbolic FRU “CCIN” on page 303 for the
correct part. If there is not a Processor 3 VPD card/processor, see the next FRU.
This ends the procedure.
6. Is the SRC 1xxx 8406?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: Exchange Processor 4 VPD card/processor. See symbolic FRU “CCIN” on page 303 for the
correct part. If there is not a Processor 4 VPD card/processor, see the next FRU.
This ends the procedure.
7. Is the SRC 1xxx 8409?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: No processor VPD cards are installed. If you are in test mode and have removed all the
processor VPD cards, disregard this SRC. Otherwise, correctly install the processor VPD cards.
If the processors are installed correctly, contact your next level of support.
This ends the procedure.
8. Is the SRC 1xxx 840A?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: Exchange the Network interface controller (NIC) card, CCIN 2738. See symbolic FRU “CCIN”
on page 303 for the correct part.

9. Is the SRC 1xxx 840B?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: Go to step 17 (See page 490).

Perform the following:
a. Power off the system.
b. Remove all processor VPD cards (do not remove the processors), clock module (M15), memory,
and NIC cards from the system.
c. Power on the system.
Does
the SRC 1xxx 840B appear on the panel?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: Go to step 15 (See page 490).

Perform the following:
a. Power off the system.
b. Exchange the Network interface controller card M41, CCIN 2738. See symbolic FRU “CCIN” on
page 303 for the correct part.
c. Power on the system.
