There are two large boxes on the joystick test screen.
One has a in the middle.
Move the stick on the attachable joystick. The
should move inside its box as you move the stick.
As you move the stick, the joystick test screen may
disappear abruptly and be replaced by the
customer-level test menu with a two letter error
message under the joystick symbol.
DID THE JOYSTICK TEST SCREEN REMAIN AS
YOU MOVED THE STICK?
The attachable joystick is bad. Replace it.
If you have another attachable joystick to test,
go to page 3-1300-4. Otherwise, repeat
advanced POST and advanced tests to ensure
that the IBM PCyr is operating correctly.
