18. Access the Advanced System Management Interface (ASMI).

19. Verify that the Enclosure serial number and Feature Code/Sequence Number match the values you
recorded.
Note: To complete these steps, your authority level must be Authorized Service Provider (ID:
celogin).
a. On the ASMI Welcome pane, specify your user ID and password, and click Log in.
b. In the navigation area, expand System Conguration > Program Vital Product Data.
c. Select System Enclosures. In the right pane, the current system enclosures are displayed.
d. Compare the values listed for the Feature Code/Sequence Number and Enclosure serial number
with your notes.
On the right pane, the Feature Code/Sequence Number value includes a dash (-) instead of a
decimal as shown on the ASMI welcome panel. For example, the ASMI welcome panel lists the
Feature Code/Sequence Number value as 78D3.001 while the right pane lists the Feature Code/
Sequence Number value as 78D3-001.
e. If the Enclosure serial number and Feature Code/Sequence Number do not match your notes,
update the values.
Note: If you update the value for the Feature Code/Sequence Number, be sure to include a dash
(-) instead of a decimal. For example, if your notes indicate the value for XXXX.YYY is 78D3.001,
you should specify 78D3-001 in the Feature Code/Sequence Number eld.
f. Click Save settings to update and save the Enclosure serial number and Feature Code/
Sequence Number.
20. Verify the installed part.
• If you replaced the part because of a service action, verify the installed part. For instructions, see
