Overview
With fixed power, hot-swap cooling fans, and greater systems management control,
the System x3400 M2 servers feature:
• 4.8 GTS or 5.86 GTS Quickpath Interconnect (QPI) support
• Three hot-swap fans standard
• Five PCI-Express card slots (1 x16, 4 x8), one 32-bit/33 MHz card slot
• Integrated dual port Gigabit Ethernet with TCPIP Offload Engine (TOE)
• Hot-swap models with Standard PCI-Express ServeRAID-BR10i for RAID-0, -1,
and -1E support
• Simple-swap/SATA models with SATA controller
• DDR3 ECC RDIMMs, combined with an integrated ECC memory controller in core
logic, that correct many soft and hard single-bit memory errors
