Overview

The Ickle Bubba Rotator i-Size is a 360-spin ISOFIX car seat designed for children from 40 to 150 cm in height, compliant with UN Regulation No. 129 (i-Size). This Enhanced Child Restraint System (ECRS) can be used as an i-Size car seat or an i-Size booster cushion, depending on the child's height and the installation method.

Function Description:

The Rotator i-Size car seat provides a safe and adaptable seating solution for children, transitioning from rearward-facing for infants to forward-facing for older children. Its 360-spin feature allows for easy rotation of the seat, facilitating child placement and switching between rearward and forward-facing modes. The seat is designed for installation using ISOFIX anchorages, a top tether, and/or the vehicle's 3-point safety belt.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • ECRS Category: i-Size Enhanced Child Restraint System (40-105 cm) and i-Size booster seat (100-150 cm).
  • Approval: UN Regulation No. 129.
  • Height Range: 40 to 150 cm.
  • Installation Methods:
    • Rearward-facing (40-105 cm): ISOFIX + top-tether + harness system.
    • Forward-facing (76-105 cm): ISOFIX + top-tether + harness system.
    • Forward-facing (100-150 cm): Method 1: ISOFIX + 3-point safety belt; Method 2: 3-point safety belt.
  • Compatibility: Suitable for vehicles with a 3-point retractable safety belt or ISOFIX attachments. Not suitable for seating positions with an active frontal airbag.
  • Harness System: 5-point harness for smaller children, which can be hidden for booster seat use (100-150 cm).
  • Recline Positions: Multiple recline positions available, adjustable via a recline lever at the base of the seat.
  • Headrest: Adjustable headrest height.
  • Rotation: 360-degree spin function, activated by a rotation handle and recline lever.

Usage Features:

  • Installation:
    • Rearward-facing (40-105 cm): Ensure the seat is fully reclined (position 5) and rotated to the rearward-facing position. Connect ISOFIX connectors until they click and indicators turn green. Attach and tighten the top tether system to the vehicle's anchor point. Secure the child with the 5-point harness.
    • Forward-facing (76-105 cm): Similar to rearward-facing, but the seat is rotated to the forward-facing position. Ensure ISOFIX and top tether are correctly installed and the child is secured with the 5-point harness. Do not use forward-facing before the child's age exceeds 15 months.
    • Forward-facing (100-150 cm): For this height range, the 5-point harness and buckle are hidden. The child is secured using the vehicle's 3-point safety belt. The shoulder belt should pass through the shoulder belt guide (C) and the lap belt through the lap belt guides (K). ISOFIX can be used in conjunction with the 3-point belt for added stability.
  • Harness Adjustment: The 5-point harness straps should be level with the child's shoulders. The harness length is adjusted using the harness adjustment button and strap. Ensure straps are tight and not twisted.
  • Recline Adjustment: The seat's recline positions are adjusted by pulling the recline lever (G) and moving the seat to the desired position. Different recline positions are available for various height ranges (e.g., 40-105 cm, 76-105 cm, 100-150 cm).
  • Rotation: To rotate the seat, pull the recline lever and fully recline the seat (position 5). Press the rotation handle (J) while turning the seat to face rearward or forward.
  • Booster Cushion Mode (100-150 cm): Remove the small baby insert cushion (L). Hide the harness straps (E) in the backrest and the buckle (F) in the base of the seat. The child is then secured by the vehicle's 3-point safety belt.
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Always read instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
    • Ensure all straps are tight and adjusted to the child's body, and not twisted.
    • The lap strap must be worn low down.
    • Replace the ECRS if it has been subjected to violent stresses in an accident.
    • Do not make alterations or additions without Type Approval Authority approval.
    • Never leave children unattended in the ECRS.
    • Secure any luggage or objects that could cause injury in a collision.
    • The ECRS must not be used without its cover, as the cover is an integral part of the restraint performance. Use only manufacturer-recommended replacement covers.
    • Consult the vehicle manufacturer's handbook for "i-Size ECRS" use.
    • The child restraint may not fit in all approved vehicles when used in stature range above 135 cm or in all angles of inclination positions.
    • For low birth weight and premature infants, a medical professional should assess suitability before use. It is recommended to use car seat inserts until the child's height exceeds 76 cm.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • Straps and plastic parts can be cleaned with a neutral detergent and warm water. Avoid getting soap into the buckle or other metal parts.
    • Do not use chemical products or bleach.
    • The reducer cushion and cover are removable and can be washed at 30°C. Air dry.
    • Do not machine wash on a cold cycle, use a drier, bleach, or iron.
    • The inside foam pieces should never be washed.
  • Replacement of Damaged Components:
    • If the seat trim is damaged, only replace it with a cover provided by Ickle Bubba. Contact customer care for replacements.
    • Dispose of the child restraint safely if it has been involved in an accident or is damaged, even if it appears undamaged, as hidden stress and strain could compromise its effectiveness.
  • Warranty:
    • Standard warranty: 2 years for pram/pushchair/stroller chassis & pram/seat frames, car seats; 1 year for wheels and brake bars; 6 months for all fabric parts, handle coverings, bumper bars, and accessories.

    • Covers manufacturing defects. Does not cover normal wear and tear, incorrect use, damage from not following the user guide, unauthorized alterations, accidental damage, or use of non-recommended accessories.
    • Warranty applies to the original purchaser in the country of purchase and is non-transferable.
    • Ickle Bubba offers a 4-step aftercare service within 5 working days for manufacturing defects under warranty.
