Usage Features:

The module offers high resolution and allows multiple parameters to be displayed in turn. It comes with a comfortable outer casing.

Button/Potentiometer/LED Introduction:

  • Left Button:
    • Long press (more than 3 seconds): Sets default ON or OFF for next re-power in display mode, or acts as 'Minus -' in calibration mode.
    • Short press: Selects whether to display output voltage in display mode.
  • Right Button:
    • Long press (more than 3 seconds): Enters or exits calibration setup mode in display mode, or acts as 'Plus +' in calibration mode.
    • Short press: Switches display between output voltage, output current, output power, or cycles through these parameters.
  • CV Potentiometer: Adjusts output voltage. Rotate clockwise to increase voltage. If output voltage cannot be adjusted, rotate counterclockwise 10 turns.
  • CC Potentiometer: Adjusts output current. Rotate clockwise to increase current. Note: This does not maintain a fixed output current; it fixes the output current value when the load current reaches the set current.
  • ON LED (Green): Output indicator. Turns ON when there is an output at the terminal, otherwise OFF.
  • CC LED (Red): Constant current output indicator. Turns ON when the load current reaches the set current, indicating constant current state.

Using the Module:

As an ordinary step-down power module:

*   Connect input voltage.
* Adjust CV potentiometer to set desired output voltage. If adjustment is difficult, rotate CV potentiometer counterclockwise more than 10 turns.
* Rotate CC potentiometer counterclockwise more than 10 turns initially.
* Test output short circuit current with a multimeter (10A or 20A range) by connecting probes to the output terminal.
* Rotate CC potentiometer clockwise to set the desired over-current protection value.
* Test and verify the maximum output current (e.g., if set to 1A, the red LED will turn on when output reaches 1A).
* Note that output voltage will decrease due to the current sampling resistor at higher currents. Output current changes with load but will not exceed the set value.

As a charger:

* Ensure the battery's floating charge voltage and charge current are known (e.g., for a 3.7V/2200mAh lithium battery, floating charge voltage is 4.2V, max charging current is 2200mA).
* Connect input voltage (do not connect load during setup).
* Test output voltage with a multimeter and adjust CV potentiometer to the required floating charge voltage (e.g., 4.2V for a 3.7V lithium battery).
* Rotate CC potentiometer counterclockwise more than 10 turns initially.
* Test output short circuit current with a multimeter (10A or 20A range).
* Rotate CC constant current potentiometer clockwise to set the desired charge current value.
* Connect the battery to the output terminal and begin charging.

As a high-power LED constant current driver:

* Determine the LED's working current and maximum working voltage.
* Connect input voltage (do not connect load during setup).
* Test output voltage with a multimeter and adjust CV potentiometer to set the output voltage to the LED's maximum working voltage.
* Rotate CC potentiometer counterclockwise more than 10 turns.
* Test output short circuit current with a multimeter (10A or 20A range).
* Rotate CC constant current potentiometer clockwise to set the output current to the required LED working current.
* Connect the LED and test.

Maintenance Features:

  • Calibration: The ZK-DP2 allows calibration of both output voltage and output current.
    • Calibrate output voltage: Long press the right button when displaying output voltage to enter calibration mode (screen will flash). Short press the left button to decrease the value, short press the right button to increase. Long press the right button again to save and exit.
    • Calibrate output current: Long press the right button when displaying output current to enter calibration mode (screen will flash). Short press the left button to decrease the value, short press the right button to increase. Long press the right button again to save and exit.

Important Notes:

  • This is a DC power module; it cannot be connected to AC power.
  • Do not short the output.
  • 'IN-' and 'OUT-' cannot be connected together; otherwise, the module will not support constant current output.
  • Ensure input power is higher than load power.
  • If the module becomes hot, reduce the output power.
  • If the output voltage cannot be adjusted, rotate the CV potentiometer counterclockwise more than 10 turns.
  • Output current cannot maintain a fixed value; it changes with load but will not exceed the set output current value.
  • A protective film is on the surface of the shell; it is recommended to remove it for a clearer display.
  • Read the user manual and description before use.

Applications:

  • Ordinary power supply
  • Battery charger
  • LED drive power
  • Instrument voltage display
  • Test meter
  • Circuit test
  • Power conversion
