How to troubleshoot IEM Tiller when the motor cannot be started?
- JjefferylongJul 29, 2025
If the motor of your IEM Tiller won't start, first, check the mains supply to ensure there is power. If the power supply is okay, inspect the cable for any damage; if damaged, pull out the plug and re-insert it, and if necessary, replace the cable or consult a qualified electrician. Also, the safety switch/plug combination might be damaged, requiring repair by a specialist workshop. Overheating protection might also be activated because the working depth is too deep, the tines are blocked, or the soil is too hard. To resolve this, reduce the working depth, remove any blockages from the tines, and adapt the working depth to the soil conditions, working the soil by repeatedly moving forward and backward. Allow the motor to cool down for about 15 minutes before resuming work.
