Overview

The iGuardStove is a safety device designed to prevent stove-related fires and enhance kitchen safety, particularly for electric, gas, and cooktop stove models. It integrates motion sensing, gas detection (for gas models), and smart control features to automatically shut off the stove when unattended or in hazardous conditions. The device consists of a Control Panel, which mounts under a kitchen cabinet, and a Power Box (or Gas Valve for gas models) that connects to the stove's power supply.

Function Description:

The iGuardStove monitors kitchen activity using a motion sensor. If no motion is detected within a set "Auto Shut Off Timer" period (defaulting to 5 minutes), it automatically shuts off the stove. For gas models, a gas sensor detects unburned gas and immediately shuts off the gas valve, sending text alerts if connected to the internet. The device also features an "Emergency Quick Shut Off" button for instant stove shutdown. It provides various locking mechanisms, including "Child Lock" (for electric stoves), "Late Night Lock" (to disable the stove during specified hours), and "Caregiver Lock" (to temporarily lock out stove use). Online features allow users to register their device, manage settings, view activity history, and receive alerts remotely via a web-based account.
