ENGINE START
Ensure that the shift lever is switched to
the N (MT) or P/N position (AMT).
Engine cold start
Before starting, do not depress the
accelerator pedal back and forth in
advance.
Rotate the ignition key to activate
the starter until the engine is started;
afterwards, release the ignition key
immediately (Do not run the starter for
more than 10s each time).
For vehicle equipped with manual
transmission, if the temperature is lower
than 0ºC, depress the clutch pedal to
reduce the engine running resistance
and facilitate the engine start as a result.
Release the clutch pedal slowly after the
engine is started.
Danger:
Do not take off the ignition key if
the vehicle is not completely stably
parked, or else, there is a risk that
the steering wheel will be locked
or some safety functions will fail to
work.
To ensure the normal functioning of
brake booster and steering booster,
it is prohibited to coast the vehicle
with engine shut down.
Danger:
Do not run the engine for a long time
in enclosed or badly-ventilated site to
avoid exhaust gas poisoning.
