LEAK TESTS

Alwaysleaktesttheunit–annually,whendismantled,
when parts are replaced, or if the gas cylinder is
removedorreplaced.
• Neveruseanopenametocheckforleaksat
anytime.DONOTIGNITETHESIDEBURNER
DURINGLEAKTESTING.
• Tobeperformedinawell-ventilatedarea.
• Besureallcontrolknobsareinthe‘OFF’position.
• Checkforleaksbybrushingasolutionof1/2
waterand1/2soapoverallthegassystemjoints,
includingallvalveconnections,hoseconnections
andregulatorconnections.
• Ensurethesoapsolutionhasbeenappliedto
all connections – connect the regulator to the
gascylinder,openthegascontrolvalveonthe
regulatorallowinggastoow.
• OBSERVE–ifbubblesformoveranypartofthe
jointsthereisaleak.
• Turnothegasandtightenalljoints
• Repeattest.Ifbubblesformagain,donotusethe
sideburner.Pleasecontactyourlocaldealerfor
assistance.

• Thecylindershouldbepositionedunderneaththe
mainbarbecuebodyandstoredupright.
• Gascylindersshouldneverbestoredorlaidon
theirside.

sideburner,removeallprotectivepackagingfrom
eachpart.DonotstoreaspareLPgascylinderunder
ornearthisappliance.Cylinderusedmustincludea
collartoprotectthecylindervalve.
Placedustcaponcylindervalveoutletwheneverthe
cylinderisnotinuse.Onlyinstallthetypeofdustcap
onthecylindervalveoutletthatisprovidedwiththe
cylindervalve.Othertypesofcapsorplugsmayresult
inleakageofpropane.
SIDE BURNER USER INSTRUCTIONS
Beforeproceeding,makecertainthatyouunderstand
thewarningstatementsinthismanual.
Lighting the side burner
• Openthesideburnerlid.
• Ensurethecontrolknobisinthe"OFF"position.

• Turnonthegassupplyatthegascylinder.
• Pushcontrolknobdownandturntoignition
position.
HI
• Holdcontrolknobinforatleast10secondsto
ensuretheburnerstayslit.
• If burner does not light after holding dial in for
20seconds,turnthecontrolknobtothe‘OFF’
positionandwaitfor1minuteandtryagain.Do
notcontinuouslyholdthecontrolknobinasyou
maycauseabuildupofgas.
• In windy conditions shield from wind to ensure
easylighting.
• Turncontrolknobtoalterburnersettingsas
required.
