  • Sound Power Level: 96 dB(A)
  • Vibration (ISO 5395-1:2013): 6.72 m/s² [K1.5 m/s²]

Usage Features:

The lawn mower is designed for ease of use and safety.

  • Handle Assembly: The lower handlebars are fixed to the unit body with lock knobs, and the upper handlebar is then fixed to the lower handlebars with lock knobs. Tension can be adjusted by turning the lock knobs, and cables are secured with plastic collars. The recoil starter handle rope is introduced into its support rope guide.
  • Grass Bag Assembly: The grass bag is attached to the rear of the mower by raising the rear cover and hitching the bag. Removal involves grasping and lifting the rear cover to detach the bag.
  • Engine Starting: After proper servicing (refer to the separate engine instruction book for gasoline and oil), the engine is started by turning the throttle choke lever to the "I" position. The brake control handle must be grasped and held against the upper handle while pulling the starter handle rapidly. The blade is in action as soon as the engine starts, and the brake control handle must be maintained in the working position for continuous operation. Releasing the brake control handle stops the engine.
  • Stopping the Engine and Machine: Releasing the brake control handle stops both the engine and the blades.
  • Wheel Drive: The machine is self-propelled; holding the wheel drive handle engages the drive, moving the lawn mower forward. Releasing the handle allows manual pushing.
  • Cutting Height Adjustment: The cutting height can be adjusted by pressing the lever outward and moving it forward or backward to select one of the 6 available heights.
  • Safety Precautions: Users are advised to wear sturdy shoes and long trousers, avoid operating barefoot or with open sandals, and clear the mowing area of foreign objects. Fueling should be done outdoors, without smoking, and only when the engine is cold. The mower should not be operated on excessively steep slopes, and extreme caution is advised when changing direction on slopes. Children, bystanders, and pets should be kept at a safe distance. The engine should never be started with the mower lifted or while standing in front of the discharge chute. Hands and feet must be kept away from rotating parts and discharge openings.

Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance is crucial for safe and efficient operation.

  • General Maintenance: All nuts, bolts, and screws should be kept tight. The machine should never be stored with fuel in the tank inside a building where fumes could ignite.
  • Blade Inspection: Before each use, visually inspect the blades, blade bolts, and cutting unit for wear or damage. Worn or damaged blades and bolts should be replaced in sets to maintain balance.
  • Engine Maintenance: Refer to the separate engine manual for specific instructions on engine maintenance, including checking oil levels and cleaning.
  • Cleaning: The mower deck should be wiped with a dry cloth. The underside of the deck can be hosed by tilting the mower with the spark plug facing up. Avoid hosing the engine directly to prevent damage or fuel system contamination.
  • Storage: For seasonal storage, the fuel tank should be run dry. The mower should be thoroughly cleaned and lubricated. The cutting blade should be lightly coated with chassis grease to prevent rusting. Store the mower in a dry, clean, and well-ventilated area. When storing in an unventilated area, rust-proofing measures (light oil or silicone coating) should be applied to the equipment, especially cables and moving parts. Cables should not be bent or kinked.
  • Troubleshooting: A comprehensive troubleshooting guide is provided to address common issues such as the engine not starting, loss of power, erratic operation, overheating, or abnormal vibrations, with corresponding probable causes and corrective actions. These often involve checking fuel levels, air filter cleanliness, spark plug condition, and blade tightness/balance.
  • Spare Parts: Only original spare parts should be used to avoid damage to the lawn mower and ensure safety. When ordering, provide the machine type, article number, and identification number.

Emissions and Noise:

The specified vibration emission value and sound power level are measured according to standardized test methods. Users are advised to take timely work breaks to protect against vibration-induced circulatory disorders and to wear hearing protection when operating the device, as noise levels can exceed 80 dB(A). Local regulations regarding noise protection should also be observed. The device is not designed for use in residential areas on Sundays, public holidays, or between 8:00 PM and 7:00 AM on weekdays, according to German machine noise regulations.
