Why my Ikra Chainsaw will not start?

  If your Ikra Chainsaw won't start, there could be several reasons. First, check if there's fuel in the tank and fill it if needed. Ensure the Stop/Start switch is set to Start. If the air lever wasn't switched off after the initial start, turn it off and try again; if the engine is flooded, remove the spark plug, dry it, pull the starter cord a few times, then reinstall the spark plug. Also, inspect the spark plug for dirt or moisture, cleaning or replacing it as necessary. Check the electrode spacing (0.5 mm) and correct if incorrect. Finally, water or condensate in the tank may be the issue; clean the tank with petrol and refill with fresh, clean fuel.

  If your Ikra Chainsaw engine starts but doesn't reach the correct speed, the air filter might be dirty or wet. Remove and clean the air filter. The fuel may be poor or unsuitable, so clean the tank with petrol and fill it with recently purchased fuel. A clogged silencer can also cause this issue; clean it and replace if necessary.

How to fix Ikra KSB 4945 engine that will not hold the minimum speed?

  If your Ikra Chainsaw engine won't hold the minimum speed, the tank breather pipe might be clogged. Clean the breather pipe. Also, a dirty air filter or spark plug can cause this issue. Clean the air filter with a brush and remove the spark plug to clean any carbon residue, replacing it if necessary. You can also turn the minimum screw T (fig. 10 Ref. T) of the carburettor clockwise. At minimum speed the chain MUST NOT rotate and the engine must continue to run.
