What to do if my ILMORE Engine will not turn over?

  If your ILMORE Engine will not turn over, possible causes include: * The safety switch tether is not connected, so connect it. * The throttle/shift control is in gear, so shift to neutral. * The main circuit breaker is open, so reset it. * The battery terminal is corroded, so clean the battery terminals. * The battery is weak or worn out, so charge or replace the battery. * The battery wiring connectors are loose or corroded, so clean and tighten them. For defective starter solenoid, neutral safety switch or starter motor, see authorized Ilmor service center.

  If your ILMORE Engine turns over but will not start, make sure the safety switch tether is connected and that there is fuel in the tank. Fill the fuel tank if it's empty. For a clogged fuel filter, contaminated fuel, weak or shorted ignition coil, or a weak or faulty fuel delivery system, see authorized Ilmor service center.

  To improve poor fuel mileage in your ILMORE Engine: * Clean the spark arrestor if it is plugged. * Adjust your driving habits by quickly planing the boat and then slowing down to the desired speed. * Correct the trim tab, One-Drive® position, and/or remove any excess weight within the vessel if the boat profile is incorrect. For a plugged PCV valve or weak/faulty ignition system components, see authorized Ilmor service center.

  To address serpentine belt noise in your ILMORE Engine: * Remove any bilge water from the engine compartment if there is water on the pulley system. * Replace the serpentine belt if it's worn. * Clean or replace the pulley if the pulley surfaces are corroded.
