Overview

This document provides operating instructions for the Imesa LM65PEDV washing machine, covering its functions, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description

The Imesa LM65PEDV is a washing machine designed for household use, capable of handling various types of laundry with multiple wash programs. It features an advanced system that senses the amount of laundry and adjusts water usage accordingly, and can also detect unevenly distributed loads to prevent vibration and noise. The machine is equipped with an overflow guard function that pumps out water and shuts off the water intake if the water level exceeds normal, terminating the program if the issue persists for 60 seconds. It also includes a child-safe start option to prevent unintended operation.

Usage Features

The washing machine offers a user-friendly interface with a program selector and a display showing the program name, water temperature, and spin speed.

Before First Use:

  • Transport Protection: All transport protection devices must be removed before installation.
  • Packing Material: Waste materials should be sorted according to local guidelines.
  • Washer Door: The machine cannot be started with the door open. The door can be opened during a program by following specific instructions in the "Washing" chapter.
  • Language Selection: Upon first start-up, users are prompted to select a display language from options including US English, English, Svenska, Dansk, Norsk, Suomi, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, Espanol, Русский, and Nederlands.
  • Water Hardness: Detergent quantity depends on water hardness; users are advised to check with their local water company.

Washing Process:

  1. Sort Laundry: Sort items by soil level, color, and material. Underwired bras should be placed in a laundry net. Pockets must be emptied to prevent damage.
  2. Turn on Main Power Switch.
  3. Open Washer Door and Load Washing: Load laundry according to the wash program chart.
  4. Add Detergent and Fabric Softener: Detergent packaging provides recommendations. The machine holds 8 kg of washing. For liquid detergent, use the separator (A) in the main detergent compartment. For powder detergent, do not use the separator. Fabric softener is added to the compartment with the ✿ symbol, ensuring not to exceed the maximum fill level.
  5. Select Program: Turn the program selector to choose from various programs like Standard cotton, Heavy wash, White/Colour, Super quick wash, Synthetics, Wool/hand wash, Rinse, MOP wash, Micro fibre, Disinfection, Allergy cotton, and Allergy synthetics.
  6. Close Washer Door and Press Start Button: The machine will begin to fill with water. If hot water is unavailable for programs 40 °C or higher, it waits one minute then fills with cold water. The drum starts rotating once filling begins.
  7. Program Completion: "Done" is displayed for 10 minutes, then the machine turns off. The washer door unlocks automatically.

During Programme:

  • Time Remaining: "Programme started" is shown on the display.
  • Stopping/Changing a Programme: Press the Stop button for three seconds. "Stop" appears. To restart, select a new program, add detergent, and press Start. The detergent compartment should not be opened while the machine is running.

Settings: Users can change Language, Temperature (°C/°F), Water intake (Cold/Hot), and Child-safe options.

  • To access settings: Turn off the machine, press and hold Stop, then press main power switch, then press Stop 5 times within 10 seconds. Select setting with program selector, press Stop to save. Press Start to return to program menu.
  • Child-safe: Can be activated/deactivated in settings. Temporarily deactivated by pressing Start and Stop simultaneously for 3 minutes.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning:

  • Detergent Compartment: Pull out using the release button, rinse and scrub clean. The cover in the fabric softener compartment is removable. Do not wash in a dishwasher.
  • Inside of the Machine: To prevent unpleasant smells from low-temperature washing, run a 90 °C wash program once a month with a small quantity of detergent and no laundry.
  • Outside of the Machine: Clean with a mild cleaner. Do not use solvents or hose down with water.
  • Rinse Holes Under the Agitator: Check for objects like nails or paper clips that can cause rust spots or holes in fabrics. To access: insert a screwdriver into the hole on the agitator and pry left, grasp and pull agitator, lift, remove objects. Re-install with F-mark towards user, ensuring fasteners are in holes, push until it catches.
  • Hard Water: If a greyish-white coating forms on the wash drum due to limescale, pour approximately 20 grams of citric acid into the drum and run a 90 °C program. Repeat if necessary.

Troubleshooting:

  • Error Messages: Messages are shown on the display. To exit, turn the machine off and on.
  • Close the Door: Close door and press Start.
  • Over Flow Fault: Shut off water tap, see "Water outlet fault."
  • Water Outlet Fault: Press Stop to empty water. If problem persists, call service.
  • Water Inlet Fault: Check if tap is open and filter is not blocked. Action: Shut off tap, unscrew hose, clean filter, screw hose back, turn on tap, run program again. If problem persists, call service.
  • Heating Fault: Turn off appliance, wait, turn on, repeat program. If problem persists, call service.
  • Security Fault/Wash Motor Fault: Call service division.
  • Unbalance: The machine attempts to redistribute laundry up to 10 times during spin cycle. If unsuccessful, the program skips to the next step. No action required for this message.

Service: Before contacting service, users should know the model designation (on panel), type designation, and serial number (on type plate inside washer door).

Transport Protection: Remove three transport bolts and plastic plugs before installation. Save plastic plugs for future transport.
