All about cookers
This cookware range is suitable for use on all hob types including
induction.
• It is not suitable for conventional ovens, microwave ovens or grills.
Always match the pan base size to the hob heat zone it is to be used on.
Gas ames must never extend up and around the side walls of the pan.
Induction – always match the diameter of the stainless steel base to the
induction hob cooking zone. Using a pan with a disproportionate
stainless steel base size to cooking zone may result in reduced heat
output. In some cases the hob may not “recognise” the pan and no heat
will be generated.

Overview

This document serves as a care and use instruction manual for Scoville Live Well Cookware, a range of kitchenware designed for a healthy lifestyle.

Function Description:

Scoville Live Well Cookware is a collection of kitchenware featuring ultra-release non-stick technology and extreme release properties, designed to be easy to clean. The manual provides guidance on how to maximize the performance and longevity of the cookware.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Hob Compatibility: The cookware range is suitable for use on all hob types, including induction.
  • Oven/Microwave/Grill Compatibility: It is explicitly stated that the cookware is not suitable for conventional ovens, microwave ovens, or grills.
  • Non-Stick Coating: The cookware features a non-stick coating, which requires specific care to prevent damage.
  • Base Size Matching: For optimal performance and safety, the pan base size should always match the hob heat zone it is used on. For gas hobs, flames must not extend up and around the side walls of the pan. For induction hobs, the diameter of the stainless steel base should match the cooking zone to avoid reduced heat output or the hob not recognizing the pan.
  • Heat Settings: The manual recommends using medium or low heat for most cooking. While a medium to higher heat can be used initially for searing, it should be lowered once the pan is hot and food is added. Maximum heat settings should never be used.
  • Dishwasher Suitability: The cookware is suitable for dishwasher use, but hand washing in warm soapy water with a soft cloth is recommended to prolong the non-stick coating.
  • Guarantee: The product comes with a 5-year guarantee covering manufacturer defects or materials under normal, domestic conditions and in accordance with care and use instructions. This guarantee requires retention of the original proof of purchase or receipt and must be registered within 6 months of purchase.

Usage Features:

  • Initial Use: Before first use, all packaging, labels, and stickers must be removed. The cookware should then be washed in warm soapy water and dried thoroughly.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Handles and knobs may become hot during use, requiring the use of oven gloves.
    • Pans should always be lifted on and off the hob surface; sliding them can cause damage to both the pan base and the cooker.
    • Never plunge a hot item of cookware into cold water or place a cold item onto a hot hob.
    • The boost function on induction cookers should not be used with this cookware.
  • Utensil Compatibility: Only silicone, wooden, or plastic utensils are recommended to prevent permanent damage to the non-stick coating. Metal or sharp utensils should be avoided.
  • Cooking Practices:
    • For "dry frying," pre-heat the pan on a medium setting for approximately 2 minutes before adding food, and do not allow the pan to overheat.
    • Food should not be left in the cookware after cooking.
    • To prevent white marks or pitting, salt should only be added when the contents are simmering or cooked. Cooled food containing salt should not be left in the cookware.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • Always allow the pan to cool before cleaning.
    • Do not use metal, abrasive, or stiff pads/washing up brushes, or abrasive cleaning agents on any surfaces.
    • Hand washing in warm soapy water with a soft cloth is recommended over dishwasher use to extend the life of the non-stick coating.
    • Surface dulling and white deposits can be removed using a nylon pad soaked in warm water and mild liquid detergent.
  • Stainless Steel Discoloration: Bluish or "rainbow" discoloration, common on stainless steel cookware, can be removed using a proprietary, non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner to restore brightness and remove stubborn marks.
  • Guarantee Activation: To activate the 5-year guarantee, users must visit imperialgb.com/register-guarantee and enter their details.
  • Guarantee Exclusions: The guarantee does not cover:
    • Damage to the non-stick surface from overheating or scratching.
    • Damage from misuse, abuse, accident, commercial use, or neglect.
    • Damage from failure to comply with care and use instructions.
    • Damage to cookers or pans caused by sliding the pan on the hob.
    • Normal wear and tear, including mild discoloration.
    • Consequential damage.
