Usage Features
Installation:
The machine requires unpacking and levelling, connecting to electricity and water supplies, and performing a first wash cycle (Auto Clean) without laundry. The drain hose should be connected to a draining duct or under-sink trap, situated between 65 and 100 cm from the floor, ensuring the free end is not underwater. The appliance must be earthed, and the electrical connection should be compatible with a 13 amp fused plug.
Control Panel and Display:
The control panel includes an ON/OFF button, TEMPERATURE button, OPTION buttons, START/PAUSE button, DELAYED START button, SPIN SPEED button, and a WASH CYCLE knob. The display shows the remaining time of a running cycle, countdown for delayed start, and symbols indicating wash phases (Wash, Rinse, Spin, Drain), temperature, programmed start, and spin speed. A "Door Locked" symbol indicates when the door is secured.
Running a Wash Cycle:
- Switch on: Press the ON/OFF button.
- Load laundry: Open the porthole door and load laundry, adhering to the maximum load indicated in the wash cycle table.
- Measure detergent: Pull out the detergent dispenser drawer and pour detergent into compartment 2 (for the wash cycle) and additives into compartment 3 (for fabric softeners). Do not use compartment 1.
- Close door: Ensure the door is securely closed.
- Select wash cycle: Turn the WASH CYCLE knob to the desired program. Default temperature and spin speed are set, and the cycle duration appears on the display.
- Customise wash cycle:
- Temperature/Spin Speed: Adjust using the respective buttons. Temperature can be decreased to "OFF" (cold wash), and spin speed can be reduced to "OFF" (no spin). For programme 4, temperature can be increased up to 60°C.
- Delayed Start: Press the DELAYED START button repeatedly to set a delay period.
- Options: Press option buttons to enable or disable features. Incompatible options will flash and not activate.
- Start program: Press the START/PAUSE button. The indicator light turns green, and the door locks. To change a cycle in progress, pause the machine, select a new cycle, and press START/PAUSE again. To open the door during a cycle, pause the machine and wait for the "Door Locked" symbol to switch off (approx. 3 minutes).
- End of cycle: "END" appears on the display. Wait for the "Door Locked" symbol to switch off, then open the door, unload laundry, and switch off the machine. To cancel a cycle, press and hold the ON/OFF button.
Wash Cycles:
The machine offers a variety of wash cycles, including:
- Everyday Fast: Mix Coloured 59', Cotton 59', Cotton 45', Synthetics 59', Mix 30', Express 20'.
- Special & Partial: Gym Kit, Sport Shoes, Baby, Rinse, Spin + Drain, Only Drain.
- Dedicated: Duvet, Wool, Silk & Curtains, Eco Cotton 60°, Eco Cotton 40°, Cotton 90°.
Wash Options:
- Extra Wash: For very dirty items, automatically re-adjusts wash parameters for a longer cycle, maintaining temperature but setting spin to maximum.
- Extra Rinse: Increases rinse efficiency for optimal detergent removal, useful for sensitive skin.
- Energy Saver: Washes cotton and synthetic items using a cold wash cycle, enhanced mechanical action, and optimised water use to save energy. Recommended for lightly soiled garments and liquid detergent.
Detergents and Laundry:
- Detergent Dispenser: Use compartment 2 for detergent and compartment 3 for additives. Do not use hand washing detergents.
- Preparing Laundry: Divide by fabric type, label symbols, and colours. Empty pockets and check buttons. Do not exceed maximum load values.
- Load Balancing System: Before each spin cycle, the drum rotates to distribute the load evenly. If unbalanced, the machine spins at a reduced speed or performs distribution instead of spinning. Mixing small and large garments is recommended.
Maintenance Features
Care and Maintenance:
- Cutting off supplies: Turn off water and electricity before cleaning or maintenance.
- Cleaning the washing machine: Clean outer parts with a soft cloth and lukewarm soapy water. Do not use solvents or abrasives. Run an "Auto Clean" programme (programme 15, 70 minutes) regularly (every 40 wash cycles) with detergent and no laundry to clean internal parts.
- Cleaning the detergent dispenser drawer: Remove and wash under running water. Repeat frequently.
- Caring for the door and drum: Always leave the porthole door ajar to prevent unpleasant odours.
- Cleaning the pump: The washing machine has a self-cleaning pump that does not require maintenance. However, small items may fall into the pre-chamber. To access the pre-chamber: unscrew the cover panel, unscrew the lid, clean, and replace.
- Checking the water inlet hose: Check the inlet hose at least once a year for cracks. Replace if necessary. Do not use second-hand hoses.
