There is ariskofanaccident and injury.
When leaving the vehicle, alwaystakethe keywith
youand lockthe vehicle. Never leave children and ani-
mals unattended in the vehicle. Keep the keys out of
thereach of children.
WARNING
If youattachheavy or largeobjects to the key, the key
could be unintentionally turned in the ignition lock.
Thiscould causethe engine to be switched off.There
is ariskofanaccident.
Do not attachany heavy or largeobjects to the key.
Remove any bulkykeyrings before inserting the key
into the ignition lock.
CAUTION
Keep the keyawayfrom strong magnetic fields. Oth-
erwise, the remote control function could be affected.
Strongmagnetic fieldscanoccur inthevicinity ofpow-
erful electricalinstallations.
Do notkeep the key:

With electronic devices, e. g. amobile phone or
anotherkey.
•
With metallic objects, e. g. coinsormetal film.
•
Inside metallic objects, e. g. ametal case.
•
Be sure to carrythe Intelligent Keywith youwhen
driving.The Intelligent Keyisaprecision device
with abuilt-in transmitter.Toavoid damaging it,
pleasenote the following.
– The Intelligent Keyiswater resistant;
however, wetting maydamagethe Intelli-
gent Key. If the Intelligent Keygets wet,
immediatelywipe until it is completely
dry.
– Do notbend, drop or strikeitagainst an-
otherobject.
– Ifthe outside temperature is below −10

C

F), the batteryofthe Intelligent Key
maynot function properly.
– Do not placethe Intelligent Keyfor an ex-
tended period in aplace where tempera-
tures exceed 60

F).
– Do not changeormodifythe Intelligent
Key.
– Do notuse amagnet keyholder.
– Do not placethe Intelligent Keynearan
electric appliancesuchasatelevision set
or personal computer.
– Do not allow the Intelligent Keytocome
into contact with water or salt water,and
do not washitinawashing machine. This
could affect the system function.

If an Intelligent Keyislost or stolen, INFINITI rec-
ommends erasing the ID code of that Intelligent
Key. Thiswillprevent the Intelligent Keyfrom un-
authorized
usetounlockthe vehicle. Forinforma-
tion regarding the erasing procedure, pleasecon-
tact an INFINITI retailer.
