SuperLocksystem equipped models:
Failure to follow the precautionsbelow mayleadto
hazardoussituations. Makesure the Super Lock sys-
tem activation is alwaysconducted safely.
•
When the vehicle is occupied, never lockthe doors
with the integrated keyfob.Doing so will trap the
occupants, sincethe Super Lock system prevents
the doorsfrom being openedfrom the inside of the
vehicle.
•
Only operatethe integrated keyfob “LOCK” but-
ton when there is aclear view of the vehicle. This
is to prevent anybody from beingtrapped inside
the vehicle through the SuperLocksystem activa-
tion.
Pressing the “LOCK” button (
m
)onthe inte-
grated keyfob or locking the doors usingone of
the request buttons(Intelligent Keymodels) will
activate the Super Lock system.
When the SuperLocksystem is active, none of
thedoors canbeopened from insidethevehicle.
Thisprovides additional security in case of theft
or break-in.
TheSuper Lock system will be released when all
the doorsare unlockedusing the integrated key
fob or arequest button (Intelligent Keymodels).
Emergency situations
If theSuper Lock system is activated while you
are inside the vehicle, forexample by atraffic
accident or other unexpected circumstances,
follow the instructions below.
If the vehiclehas been lockedfrom the outside,
the double-lockfunction is activated as stan-
dard. It
is
then not pos
sibl
etoo
pen the doors
from inside the vehicle. Youcan deactivate the
double lockfunction by deactivating the interior
motion sensor (see
“Interior motion sensor (where
fitted)” later in thissection
). The doors canthen be
opened fromthe inside after the vehicle has
been lockedfrom the outside. Youcan open the
rear doorsfrom inside the vehicle if they are not
securedbythe child-prooflocks(see
“Child safety
lock — rear doors”later inthissection
).Theanti theft
alarmsystem is triggered if the door is opened
fromthe inside. Switch off the alarm (see
“Anti-
theftalarmsystem(wherefitted)” later inthissection
.)
Locking without activating the Super
Locksystem
WARNING
Do not leave the keyinside the vehicle when leaving
the vehicle.
Locking the doors using thedoor keycylinder or
powerdoor lockswitchwillnot activate the Su-
per Lock system.
